Ingress Protection (IP)
The main cause of failure in any electrical installation is the ingress of moisture causing bridging and corrosion of contacts and other sensitive metallic conductors.
After the independent temperature conditioning tests on the ingress seals and gaskets, our range of cable glands and junction boxes have undergone rigorous IP tests to ensure that the IP ratings of IP66/68 are maintained for the expected life of the installation. Our range of sealed glands has also been tested to IP 68 at 100m for 14 days and to an incredible 850m for 24 hours.
In addition to these IP tests, our offshore marine and hazardous glands have also been certified to the Shell offshore DTS-01 deluge specification.
